Courteney
Veterinary Assistant
Courteney, one of our vet assistants, is a native of the Eastern Shore of Virginia and has been with Atlantic Animal Hospital since 2011.
Courteney has a very bubbly personality. She is always bouncing around and bettering the world around her. Courteney has a deep love of Hello Kitty and anything with owls.
When she's not helping to create a wonderful experience for your pet, she loves spending time with her daughter, Arden. She has 2 dogs named Copper and Rose. In her free time, she enjoys gardening, spending time outdoors, and "glamping".
Allison
Licensed Vet Tech
Allison’s dedicated journey in veterinary medicine started as a kennel assistant in 2021 and grew into her current role as a veterinary technician at Atlantic Animal Hospital. She thrives in all areas of practice, with a focal interest in surgery and anesthesia.
When she isn't caring for patients, Allison can be found at the barn training and riding her horses, out on the water fishing, or tending to her home menagerie of two dogs, a bearded dragon, a hedgehog, frogs, fish, and farm animals.
Erika
Licensed Vet Tech
Erika, LVT, has been part of the team at Atlantic Animal Hospital since 2025 and has worked in the veterinary field for the past eight years. Throughout her career, she has developed a strong passion for providing compassionate, high-quality care to her patients, with a background in emergency medicine that has given her valuable experience caring for animals in critical situations.
Outside of work, Erika enjoys spending time with her husband and their four cats and two dogs. When they’re not busy with their furry family, they love getting outdoors and exploring the beautiful mountains of Virginia through hiking and other adventures.
Erika is grateful to be part of the Atlantic Animal Hospital team and looks forward to continuing to make a difference in the lives of pets and the families who love them.
Sam
Veterinary Assistant
Sam brings nearly five years of experience to the veterinary field, combining a deep love for animals with strong technical expertise. Joining Atlantic Animal Hospital in 2024, she is dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality care, and ensuring that every patient and client feels supported, comfortable, and well-cared for during their visit. Outside of work, Sam loves spending quality time with her husband and their bustling home of pets, including two dogs, a cat, a snake, and fish. An avid traveler, she also enjoys fishing, baking, and settling down with a good book.
Katie
CSR/Veterinary Assistant
Meet Katie, a dedicating member of the Atlantic Animal Hospital team since 2023. When she's not caring for our patients and clients, she's a proud mom of two boys and a loving pet parent to two cats and a dog. Katie enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her children or winding down with a movie alongside her husband. A firm believer in family time, she looks forward to their nightly dinners and recapping their day together.
Sierra
CSR
Sierra is one of our front desk receptionists and enjoys being one of the welcoming faces of the team. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her wife and daughter. She is also an avid reader and enjoys vacationing in the mountains, where she can relax and enjoy the beauty of nature. Sierra is a devoted pet mom who loves spending time with her Alaskan Husky, Daisy, and her five cats- Penelope, Orchid, Stormy, Cooper and Boomer.

CSR
Monique's life is a simple one. She enjoys quiet time at home with her husband and fur-babies. Reading a good book is the most relaxing thing that she loves to do. Monique just takes life one day at a time and lives it to the fullest.

Hospital Staff
Barb brings heart, humor, and expertise to every corner of the veterinary hospital. Whether she’s greeting clients or ensuring the hospital is properly cleaned and sanitized, she approaches each task with patience and an upbeat attitude. Known for her reliability and upbeat energy, Barb is the teammate everyone counts on, and the familiar face clients love to see. Her passion for animals shines through in everything she does. Barb enjoys reading and working in the yard in her free time.
