Dr. Michele Leatherbury


Dr Leatherbury graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree and received her Veterinary Degree in 1997 from Atlantic Veterinary College in Canada.

Her professional interests include soft tissue surgery, behavioral medicine, endocrinology and dentistry.  She is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association,  the American Association of Feline Practitioners, the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association, and the American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior.

She and her husband, Rob reside outside of Onancock.  They have two dachshunds named Wally and Cardi, and a black lab named Moby.  Dr. Leatherbury and Wally are keen competitors in the sport of Canine Scentwork.  Wally is one of the tiniest dogs in the country to achieve Nosework 3 "Elite" status. She is also working on titles for Cardi and Moby as well!

Dr. L.A. "Jack" Hiler


Dr. Jack completed his undergraduate work at Virginia Tech and graduated from the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in Blacksburg in 1989.  He has a special interest in orthopedics, including fracture repair and joint disorders, but also enjoys all aspects of medicine and surgery.  He is also Penn Hip certified to evaluate dogs for hip dysplasia.

Dr. Jack has lived on the shore since 1990 with his wife, Suzanne, and children Daniel and Caroline.  His family also includes a cat named Little Cat. Latest addition is Finn the amazing border collie!

When he's not working, Dr. Hiler enjoys hiking, gardening, fishing, reading, and traveling with his family.
